In my opinion I would say Migraine with visual disturbance, because you loose part of your vision for around 30 minutes, you have to give up driving because your drivers license gets revoked, its difficult to hold down a job, the visual loss is terrifying for many people.Ok Asthma can be fatal but an inhaler often stops the attack so its not that bad and steroids help too, with migraine you just have to suffer for 30 minutes because there is no medication that can stop the visual attack!
Eczema, may look bad but various creams can help reduce it and you are still allowed to drive and do most jobs.
Arthritis may be inconvenient but you can still drive with modifications if its severe and steroids help.What are your opinions?

I was diagnosed earlier this year at 21.But a sore joint doesn't necessarily mean arthritis. There can be a number of reasons for a sore joint. Does it swell? Does it feel hot? Is it red?

I have had this rash for the past 3 days. Its extremely itchy. I usually have ezcema. But extremely mild. This rash is on my legs, arms, face, eyelids (extreme itchy) and in my scalp.

Either topically or something you are eating. Don't use any product that contains fragrances or dyes. See your doctor, there are creams that will help you.

My 15 month old son has patches of eczema on his arms near his elbows and his upper thighs. I have been using Aveeno baby wash, Aveeno baby lotion and Aquaphor ointment. When the patches look really irritated, I put prescription hydrocortisone on it. They look like they clear up for a few days then it flairs up again. Is there any thing more I can be doing?-

mometasone furoate ointment 0.1% works well on the irriatated spots. yet, the pediatricians told me to not use it often because it thins out the skin and leaves white patches. i use it on my daughter's eczema too. she gets red patches on her cheeks and some spots on her forearm and calf. it gets real bad to the point when there is liquid oozing out. i use the ointment once shes asleep, apply a very thin layer and the next morning it usually clears up i then i would use aquaphor. im looking into using sarna lotion. can be purchase at walgreens or cvs pharmacy. i treid cetaphil not any help. my friends that have ezcema that are adults use cetaphil bar soap and the lotion. some say gold bond works as well

I would just make sure that you use allergy free detergent and baby soap (baby phisoderm is really good, but can be hard to find Walgreens usually has it though.) wow i used to have the same thing. first i tried all these different prescriptions and stuff but they either make my skin worse, or only worked for a little bit, or just not at all. then my aunt told me that Clinique had good face products that won't clog up your skin/pores and such. well, i had nothing to lose, so i went there and got their 3-step acne line. very excited and hoping it would work, i went home and tried it that night. its just 3 different things you put on in a specific order. ill be honest, it wasnt like my face was magically clear the next day, but i definitely started noticing results within that week. people even started to comment on how my skin looked alot better. so yeah lol. you can also look it up on clinique's website if you want a picture or more info. hope that helped!

pregger acne drivin me crazy!?
i am 39 weeks pregnant with baby #3, and i have Peri-oral dermatitis, which is basically acne around the mouth (nose and chin mainly) brought on by hormonal imbalance (gee im pregnant,,) and the only thing that can control it for me personally is doxycycline. however doxy is not a pregger friendly drug so as soon as i found out i was pregnant i stopped taking it. now i have this, bright red, itchy burning zitty rash that makes me look like a teenager in the throws of puberty, and did i mention it hurts? i've had it since the beginning of January, and its now mid-june. and i cannot take it any more, the itching and burning and ugliness of it are driving me mad. so my question is i am 39 weeks pregnant, if i start taking the doxy again will it affect my baby? i have used every gel, cream, and antibiotic they have thrown at me, and nothing else has worked. i really really don't want to do anything that could harm my baby, but i seriously cant take it anymore... i know i should call my doc but his office is closed till tuesday (there is an on call number, but i don't feel this is an emergency..) im just impatient. so if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated!!!

I have skin allergies to. You need to see an Allergologist. Do you know what you're allergic to? if not the Allergologist will conduct a skin test to find out where you're allergic to so you would know what to avoid and to find out if that's really an allergy or a different kind of rash.When I had my allergies, my Doctor prescribed Prednisone 10 mg tablets and Claritin. These are steroid based medicines and should be taken in specific duration only so I would advice that you see a doctor first so you would know what you should do about your condition, what meds to take and what ointment or cream to apply.

My American Bulldog, Sarge, has skin allergies. I had the vet test him and they said he is allergic to pollen in the air. I want to treat him for allergies naturally, without drugs or chemicals. How do I do this? I looked for hypoallergenic dog shampoo at the store, but I can't find it. I have been giving him Omega 3 fatty acid supplements. Because he is allergic to pollen, he is always worse when the pollen count is high. He had fleas a few months ago, and I found out that he was allergic to them too. Of course, you should have been cautioned about the risk of side effects of eye damage, skin damage; but assuming that the risks are not so bad as the potential benefits, then you should do fine. Is there a reason that you've not been introduced to one of the biologic injection medications? Or, if phototherapy is the way to go, what about narrow band UVB?

If I decided to go to PA school, what steps after that would secure me a job in a clinic. Dermatology is a somewhat difficult specialty for PAs to get into. There is a steep learning curve and some docs are hiring only experienced PAs. Start with your local dermatologists office and ask if you can shadow. Don't expect to ge to do anything except watch. When it involves patient care, there is no volunteering. You could try to get a job in a derm office even if it is doing front office, better if it is as a nurse or MA in the back. You can learn a lot this way. If you get into PA school try to get a derm rotation. There is one residency program for PAs in derm. Most learn on the job. The Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants has more info.

It makes more sense to get a free consultation than to pay for one. If you go for the consultation, you are just there to hear what the derm has to say. If you decide not to have the suggested treatment done, at least you didn't pay to hear the suggestion. If you pay for the consultation and decide not to go through with the treatment, that is almost like a waste of money because you still have the problem. If you do decide to get the treatment done, then you'll have paid twice. Another plus to not paying for a consultation is that you can take the information they give you, do research on it, then make up your mind if the procedure is a good idea for you.It's always best to do research on the dermatologists first, whether you pay for the consultations or not. Look them up on the Better Business Bureau website to see any reviews, complaints, etc. Ask people what dermatologists in your area they use, and if they would recommend them.
